About No Compete and No Repeat Timers

No repeat timers and no-compete timers function similarly:

No-Repeat Timer: The length of time that must pass between plays of an individual ad. This can be overridden at the campaign level to prevent ads from the same campaign playing closely together.

No-Compete Timer: The length of time that must pass between plays of ads from the same DAAST category or with the same compete code.

Because DAAST categories are assigned to all ads in a campaign, the no-compete timer keeps ads within the same campaign from playing too closely together. It also keeps ads in different campaigns but with the same DAAST ad category from playing too closely together.
