AmperWave Streaming offers an inventory forecast report that is designed to make the buying of ad inventory easier and more accurate for customers. You should use this forecast as a guideline when you are buying your ad content. It is generated using historical data gathered over time. The longer you have been using AmperWave Streaming, the more accurate this will be.
Keep in mind that you do not want to sell too many or too few ads. Either of these scenarios will cause problems with your stream and you will not maximize your revenue potential. We recommend selling around 85% of your total forecasted avails. This will give your campaigns a bit of breathing room in case there are any issues or you have an emergency and need to ramp up a campaign for whatever reason. In normal situations you should have a few filler campaigns to fill the last 15% of your forecasted avails.
If you follow these guidelines, you should find that your campaigns will reach their goal more consistently and without any micromanagement on your part.
Note: When first starting up with the AIS system it will take at least 24 hours before inventory forecasting can populate data and will require up to 30 days before forecasting can be seen that far ahead.
