About Stream Monitoring

AmperWave Streaming can be enabled to notify a user when a station stream is down using Enable Stream Monitoring setting on the Station Settings tab.

With Stream Monitoring enabled, a stream down alert email is sent to the specified list of people notifying them when AmperWave Streaming is no longer receiving stream fragments from a given station. The alert is triggered when we haven’t received streaming fragments for more than one minute. Alerts are sent every 15 minutes for up to an hour or until the stream reconnects whichever happens first. A “Stream OK” email is sent when the stream reconnects.

Alerts can be enabled on a station by station basis in AmperWave Streaming Console, by going to Ad Management > Stations > Station. From there edit the station. Under the Notifications header, check Enable Stream Monitoring. One or more emails will need to be added to the Engr. Notification Email field, if there is more than one email they will need to be separated by a comma.
