Why is My In-Stream Audio Ad Playing Twice in the Same Break?

To resolve an in-stream audio ad playing twice in the same break:

1.Check to see if there is more than one ad in the campaign with the same media file scheduled against the same station(s). If the file is used for multiple ads, it’s possible that it will repeat.

a.To check media file:

i.From Ad Management, click Campaigns.

ii.In Campaigns, click the campaign you want to view.

iii.In the campaign, click the ad you want to check.

iv.Click Properties. Check the Media URL in the Media Info section. Once you have the URL,  look up the media URLs for other ads and compare to determine if two ads have the same media file.

2.Check the account No-Repeat Time setting. This setting specifies the minimum number of minutes to wait before playing the same ad again. Adjust the setting if its too low.

a.From Ad Management, click Preferences.

b.On the Settings tab, under Ad Playout, find the No-Repeat Time settings.

c.Click Edit Settings, and then Submit after you make your changes.

3.Check the No-Repeat Override setting in the Campaign Properties. If there is a value in this field, it overrides the No-Repeat Time setting in the Preferences section for this campaign.

a.From Ad Management, click Campaigns.

b.Click the campaign you want to view.

c.Click Campaign Properties.

d.In General Info, view the No-Repeat Override setting.

4.Does the campaign have a Compete Code? If not, add a Compete Code so that the system can prevent other ads with the same compete code from running against it.

a.From Ad Management, click Campaigns.

b.Click the specific campaign you want to see the compete code for.

c.On the Campaign Summary tab, under Campaign Basics find the compete code.

d.Click Campaign Properties, and then click Edit Properties to add the compete code.

e.Click Save Changes.
