A Stream Down Alert is an email message sent to tell you that AmperWave Streaming is no longer connected to your stream.
A Not Requesting Ads alert, is an email message sent to tell you that your system has not requested ads from AmperWave Streaming in the number of minutes in the Threshold setting.
Both issues can be caused by your encoder being disconnected, the system being down, or the AmperWave Streaming software crashing.
To enable a stream down alert:
1.From the Ad Management Dashboard, click Stations.
2.In the Stations list, select a station by clicking it.
3.In Settings, click Edit Station. Scroll down to Notifications.
4.Check the box next to Stream Down - Enable alert emails.
5.Enter one or more email addresses for the system to send stream down alerts. Separate multiple email addresses with a comma.
Note: if you do not check the Stream Down - Enable alert emails, the system will not send the alert messages.
6.Check the box next to Not Requesting Ads - Enable alert emails.
7.Enter one or more email addresses for the system to send not requesting alerts. Separate multiple email addresses with a comma.
Note: if you do not check the Not Requesting Ads - Enable alert emails checkbox, the system will not send the alert messages.
8.If you enabled Not Requesting Ads - Enable alert emails above, enter a threshold (in minutes) for the system to wait before alerting you. If you have long ad-free blocks of time, enter a threshold that is longer than those blocks.
9.In Eng. Notification Email, enter an email address. Use a comma to separate multiple email addresses.
10.In Not Requesting Ads Threshold, enter a time in minutes.
11.In Enable Stream Monitoring, click the check-box.
12.To finish, click Submit.
