Sometimes the content files that make up an episode don't line up exactly with the template they're assigned to. When this happens, the system follows these general rules:
•Multiple ad rolls cannot be played in a row.
•Multiple content files can be played in a row.
This means:
•If there are more content files uploaded than slots in a template, some of the files will play immediately without midroll between them.
•If there are fewer content files than slots in the template, midroll will only play between content files. Midroll never plays immediately after preroll, or immediately before postroll.
Here are two example cases to demonstrate how this works in practice.
In this case, the template is short, and more content files are uploaded than there are slots in the template. All the content files will play, with one midroll as described in the template.

Content 1, Content 2, Content 3, and Content 4
There are only two content slots in the template, but there are four files. |
Preroll Content 1 Midroll Content 2 Content 3 Content 4 Postroll All four content files are played, with midroll between the first two. |
In this case, we have a very long template, but only a couple of content files. Without content to put between them, three of the midroll slots are skipped.
